Welcome to The Life of Mal!

It is lovely to meet you, my name is Mal! I’m just a girl who has decided to give blogging a try! Let me properly introduce myself and give you a little bit of background information into why I decided to start a blog!

My name is Malissa, but my friends all call me Mal. I’m 21 years old and I’m a full-time daycare teacher. I’m also a full-time guinea pig mom to a lovely baby boy named King Phat Phat. I have a lovely boyfriend who I’ve been with for over two years now and a wonderful best friend that I’ve known since high school. I’m very eclectic when it comes to my hobbies, so be prepared for many different posts over many different topics!

About a year ago I became completely obsessed with the tv show and movie franchise “Sex & the City”, and I wanted so deeply to be like Carrie Bradshaw. Now I know what you’re thinking, “She was a columnist, not a blogger” which you would be right about! But if she were a writer today, it is my personal opinion that she would be a blogger! Which is what led me to the idea of starting my own personal blog! This blog is going to encompass my entire life, which is probably a little weird because I shouldn’t put my whole life on the internet… But why not! You only live once, so live your life the way you see fit!

As I’ve mentioned above, this is my first time giving this whole “blogging” thing a try, which means there will definitely be some bumps and roadblocks I’m sure that I will encounter. But I’m simply not going to let that stop me! I’ve been dreaming of this for a while now and after a lot of overthinking I’ve decided to just in feet first and just go for it!

Now I’ve spent many hours of my life googling “how to start a blog” and believe me, the internet makes it seem really hard to actually start a blog just for fun. It made me a little discouraged at the beginning and made me feel like I probably couldn’t do this, but I’ve decided that isn’t going to stop me! You can do anything as long as you put your heart into it, and never let anything stop you from doing what you want!

Before I leave, let me just say that if you’re thinking about starting a blog you should absolutely do it! YouTube has been my best friend in this whole process and I’ve learned a lot of helpful tips! So if you’re considering starting a blog, definitely do some research and take it at your own pace!
